CUSTOMS PRACTICED
Almost half of the population in South Korea is irreligious so religious views or religious acts do not affect the people as much nor do they have a big influence on the society. Fewer people practiced Buddhism as the influence has declined over the years although Buddhists do tend to visit temples. Christianity in Korea includes Protestantism and Catholicism. Many Christians beleive that their religious effects have played a positive role on the society as the traditional Korean society was much more cruel.
